Ariana Madix And Tom Sandoval Admit They Were ‘Completely Shocked’ By Jax Taylor And Brittany Cartwright’s ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Exit!

Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix revealed that they were “completely shocked” by Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s Vanderpump Rules exit.

“Completely shocked,” Madix said during the Tuesday, December 8, episode of Daily Pop, according to Us Weekly. “We were actually about to go live on Instagram to talk about Gardenuity and our collab and we saw it about 30 seconds before. And we don’t know a whole lot more than just that Instagram caption from what they posted.”

The couple also noted that Bravo hasn’t talked at all about what’s happening in the future of the show, but they have no plans to leave. “As long as there is a show, I think we will be involved,” she said.

“Obviously, we’re a show that heavily relies on nightlife being open, and right now because of the current situation we’re in, I mean, we’re just kind of in a holding pattern until places are able to open up safely,” Sandoval added. “So that’s pretty much all we know.”

Taylor and Cartwright confirmed their exit from the Bravo hit reality series on Friday, Dec. 4, in separate Instagram posts.

“The last 8 years on Vanderpump Rules have been some of the most challenging, rewarding and fulfilling years of my life,” Taylor wrote while sharing several throwback photos from his time on the show.

“Although this is difficult to share, Brittany and I will not be returning for another season of Vanderpump Rules. We are excited to take this time to focus on our growing family and share with you our new endeavors,” he continued. “@bravotv, @evolutionusa and our Vanderpump castmates will always remain close to our hearts. Thank you to all the fans who have shared our journey with us and supported us through everything. We love you."

“Stay tuned, We can’t wait for to share what we have planned,” he concluded. “Have a great weekend. 💟”

Cartwright shared the same note in her own Instagram post, also sharing several throwback photos, including some snapshots from their wedding, according to PEOPLE.

“The last 5 years on Vanderpump Rules have been some of the most challenging, rewarding and fulfilling years of my life. Although this is difficult to share, Jax and I will not be returning for another season of Vanderpump Rules.”

She continued, “We are excited to take this time to focus on our growing family and share with you our new endeavors. @bravotv, @evolutionusa and our Vanderpump castmates will always remain close to our hearts.”

She added, “Thank you to all the fans who have shared our journey with us and supported us through everything. We love you. Stay tuned ♥️”

The couple's departure comes after former Vanderpump Rules stars Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute, Max Boyens, and Brett Caprioni were fired in June.

Schroeder and Doute were fired for accusing former co-star Faith Stowers of being a woman wanted by the police with Schroeder admitting she called the authorities on Stowers. Schroeder and Doute have both issued public apologies for their past racially insensitive actions towards Stowers.

Boyens and Caprioni were fired after old racist and homophobic tweets resurfaced last winter.
