Shannon Beador Wins Defamation Case Against Jim Bellino!

Shannon Beador officially won her case against Jim Bellino, who sued both her and former Real Housewives of Orange County star Tamra Judge for defamation in 2018.

In addition to having Bellino's case dismissed, Beador was awarded $137,340.25 of the $220,000 she sought for her legal fees.

"I am grateful and relieved because this has taken an emotional and financial toll on my family," Beador, told PEOPLE.

Bellino's lawyer said in a statement via PEOPLE that though Beador's case has been closed, the case against Judge is still moving ahead.

"We are disappointed with the court of appeal’s ruling as it pertains to Ms. Beador, but nevertheless pleased that the court at the same time ruled that Mr. Bellino’s defamation case against Ms. Beador’s co-defendant, Tamra Judge, should go forward," the statement said.

Last year, Bellino sued Beador and Tamra Judge for defamation over comments they made about his divorce and accused them of defaming his name and businesses when they appeared on a live taping of comedian Heather McDonald's podcast, The Juicy Scoop.

Beador was dismissed from the case and was awarded $137,340.25 in the defamation lawsuit filed against her by Bellino. According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the award will cover Beador’s legal bills.

Also, Bellino filed a lawsuit against McDonald in June 2019. He accused her of defaming him by allowing Judge and Beador to talk about his divorce from Alexis and his trampoline business and then publishing the allegedly defamatory statements on her podcast.

Jim sued McDonald for damages in excess of $1 million. However, Bellino settled his defamation case against McDonald, according to Page Six.

Bellino and McDonald said in a joint statement on Monday that they came to “a settlement of the dispute on mutually satisfactory terms,” TMZ reported. The joint statement also says Heather “never intended to cause any of the damage” to Jim's reputation or that of his business.

Meanwhile, Jim is still fighting Judge in court over her “jail” comment.
