Nermina Pieters-Mekic and her husband Erik Pieters are expecting their first child together. The former Real Housewives of Cheshire star confirmed she's pregnant and the baby is due in April.
While the couple is "very happy" about the news of their pregnancy, they revealed that they discovered that she had a sad miscarriage early in her pregnancy last November. The doctor sent her for examination, and Nermina underwent a colposcopy procedure to remove her uterine growth.
The singer then revealed how she found out she was expecting her first child.
After the couple was given a green light to try again, they planned a romantic August trip to Crete. But just one day before they took off, Nermina noticed some changes in her body and underwent a pregnancy test – it was positive.
“It was very surprising, and we were very happy!” Nermina told OK! UK, who is currently 22 weeks pregnant.
“We’re more excited because the baby we’ve always wanted is finally born,” said Nermina. “We were on the other side, so I realized how lucky we were.”
Nermina experiences typical symptoms of early pregnancy, including all-day illness.
“It was morning sickness, but also afternoons and evenings. I was dehydrated and had a terrible headache,” she said.
“It lasted for five weeks. It was hard because I was usually active and loved going out with my dog and riding a horse. Instead, Eric went to the club in the morning and I was miserable and crying in bed Probably. “
Nermina and Erik have been married for four years and have four dog. She appeared as a full-time cast member on The Real Housewives of Cheshire for two seasons during the show's sixth (2017) and seventh (2018) season. She has since made several guest appearances on the show.
