Monique Samuels Releases Email From Candiace Dillard’s Lawyer And Accuses Her Of Wanting Money Instead Of An Apology!

Monique Samuels took to Instagram to share a letter sent to her by Candiace Dillard Bassett‘s attorney, James Walker Jr. and accuses her of wanting money instead of an apology following Sunday night's episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac

While Candiace was seen meeting with a prosecutor in regard to her fight with Monique, Monique she shared a screenshot of the letter, which the lawyer threatened to file a civil action against her.

“After I had the meeting with my pastor, I received this email,” Monique tweeted on October 18, according to Reality Blurb. “My attorney advised that I only speak to Candice with him present. We asked several times for a mediation sit down and she and her attorney REFUSED. She didn’t want to hear an apology! She wanted money.”

Monique also addressed why she allegedly refused to apologize to Candiace in the caption of her Instagram post, where she shared the email from Dillard's lawyer as well as tweets regarding the topic of the civil lawsuit.

She wrote, “I’m gonna leave this here for all those who keep saying I didn’t want to reach out and offer a conversation along with an apology for my part. This email was sent 7 days after the altercation. Not WEEKS. Miss me with the “acting” BS. This fight is not my storyline. So much so, I was willing to leave the show and focus on identifying my triggers and accepting MY PART in the matter. I did the real work by seeking counsel through my pastor, god dad (who is also a pastor) and a therapist. I’ve grown, healed and have moved on And have never NOT ACCEPTED accountability on MY PART. Have a good day and tune in tonight to Fox Soul’s “Cocktails with Queens” ❤️”

She also shared screenshots of tweets she tweeted during the episode regarding the topic. “When my attorney said no we’re not paying her anything because this was not an ‘attack’ or an ‘assault’ but a ‘mutually consented’ altercation (a warning to back up was given followed by her egging on by saying ‘what you gon do? You gon drag me?’), her attorney’s response was…”

“‘Well we’re going to sue Monique for MILLIONS and bravo will capture it all!'” Monique alleged. “Then they filed the complaint. Then I countered. Then the state threw both charges out. The End.”

Samuels and Dillard Bassett have not spoken since their fight, which resulted in a summons being issued to Samuels for a charge of second-degree assault. Samuels filed a counterclaim against Dillard for a charge of second-degree assault. In December 2019, both charges were dismissed.
