Monique Samuels ‘Would Love’ For RHOP Viewers To Focus On The ‘Experience’ That She ‘Went Through’ After Her Fight With Candiace Dillard Bassett; Says “That’s Going To Be A Whole Journey In Itself”

Monique Samuels sounds off about her physical fight with Real Housewives of Potomac star Candiace Dillard Bassett, which will play out in future episodes of the current season of the Bravo hit reality series.

"Yes, yes. And that's exactly what happens. It's like being a time bomb. It's like a ticking time bomb. And I'm a person who is the reactor. I'm a very happy person. I love to get along with people," she said during a recent appearance on RealiTea With Derek Z via NECN.

"I will put my issues with the person to the side just so that we can get along and have a good time. But sometimes you have people that like to continue to pick at you and push at you. And if you keep poking a bear, what's the bear going to do?" she continued.

"You know, so I'm not a person that's going to not ever not stand up for myself. You know, I'm always going to demand respect because I give respect," Monique told host Derek Zagami. "And we just had a moment where things got out of hand. Do I wish that it could have went a different way? Obviously. But, you know, it is what it is."

She added, "And I'm serious about the journey even after the fact. So I know a lot of people are focusing on the incident itself, but I would love for them to actually experience what I went through after everything was said and done, you know, like how did I handle it? How did I grow from it? What did I learn new about myself? And that's going to be a whole journey in itself."

As previously reported, the feud between the two escalates in future episodes of the Bravo hit reality series as they end up getting into a physical fight, which the show has teased about the upcoming incident on the current season of RHOP.

The incident took place at a dinner with their fellow cast members in October 2019. Samuels allegedly grabbed Dillard Bassett by the hair and pulled her down.

Monique and Candiace were both charged with second-degree assault after they both filed a complaint against each other following the incident. The charges were later dropped, but if the case continued, they both would have faced jail time.
