Monique Samuels Throws Major Shade At RHOP Co-Star Candiace Dillard Bassett; Says “She’s A Snake With A Wig On”

Monique Samuels has a lot to say about her ongoing feud with Real Housewives of Potomac co-star Candiace Dillard Bassett.

“She's a snake with a wig on pretty much sums it up. So some people like to present this, like, very manicured perception of themselves into the world, but you can't keep up the act forever. So at some point, people are going to see exactly what you are and people are beginning to see it,” she said during a recent appearance on RealiTea With Derek Z via NECN.

“Some people think that they were just stars out the whom. And, you know, the entitlement is what gets me, you know. So for me, it's a privilege to be able to be on a platform like this and earn your way into the hearts and minds of the viewers," she told host Derek Zagami. “You don't just walk in and just expect that you're going to earn something that you haven't worked hard for. And through what I believe is through the engagement with the viewers and the fans of the show and the fans of my family.”

She added, “And, you know, I believe in engaging with them in a positive way. I believe in having respect their opinions and all of those different things. And some people don't operate like that. And she's definitely one of them.”

As previously reported, the feud between the two escalates in future episodes as they end up getting into a physical fight, which the show has teased about the upcoming incident on the current season of RHOP.

The incident took place at a dinner with their fellow cast members in October 2019. Samuels allegedly grabbed Dillard Bassett by the hair and pulled her down.

Monique and Candiace were both charged with second-degree assault after they both filed a complaint against each other following the incident. The charges were later dropped, but if the case continued, they both would have faced jail time.
