Andy Cohen Explains Why Dorinda Medley Needed A ‘Pause’ From RHONY And Reveals He Is Open For Her Return In The Future; Says “I Am Really Hopeful That This Is Indeed A Pause, And That She Will Rejoin The Show At Some Point”

Andy Cohen is speaking out on Dorinda Medley’s surprising departure from The Real Housewives of New York City.

The Real Housewives executive producer and Watch What Happens Live host showed his love for Medley. calling her “iconic.”

Andy confirmed that he’d be open to her return in the future. However, he asserted that even she would admit Season 12 of the Bravo hit reality series wasn’t “a great season” for her.

“She said something at the reunion that struck us all, which was that she should’ve taken the year off this year,” he said on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy, according to Page Six. “She was in a bad place.”

He continued, “Her house had been flooded, her dad was sick. We lost Bethenny right as filming began and we lost Tinsley halfway through the season, so maybe Dorinda didn’t feel like she could take the year off.”

Cohen then confirmed that he’d be happy to welcome Medley back into the fold once she’s been “renewed and refreshed.”

“I am really hopeful that this is indeed a pause, and that she will rejoin the show at some point. I have said that to her a couple of times, and by the way, I do not say that too often.”
