RHOA Cast Reportedly Are ‘Annoyed’ And ‘Not Surprised’ With NeNe Leakes Over Season 13 Contract Negotiations Drama; “They’re Fine With Her Departing,” Sources Say!

According to a new report, the cast of The Real Housewives of Atlanta are allegedly ‘annoyed’ with NeNe Leakes for not signing her Season 13 contract due to negotiations dispute.

“The ladies are a little annoyed that Nene hasn’t signed her contract yet. They feel she does this every year and puts herself on this pedestal and they just roll their eyes a bit over it,” a source close to production told HollywoodLife, “They’re not surprised.”

Apparently, the ladies “all still want [NeNe] to return because she does make good TV, but they’re fine with her departing,” the source continued.

“They’re very excited to have Drew join them on the cast and there’s a lot of chatter of one other lady potentially joining as well,” the source teases. “Everyone’s still very early into filming with Cynthia’s wedding and that story line being day to day due to the pandemic,” the source clarifies.

The news comes after Celebrity Blogger, Love B. Scott reported last month the following: “LaToya’s estranged husband (Adam Ali) not wanting certain things filmed. Last month, they announced they’ve ended their marriage. In the event they’re not able to work through whatever hold-up they’re having (whether it be for him to film or not wanting her to show the kids), the backup plan is for LaToya to be a friend of the show.”

As to why the network wants to add Sidora and Ali on the Bravo hit reality series? Apparently, show executives want ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ to start “trending younger.”

However, However, NeNe’s manager Steven Grossman denied the report that his client has been fired from RHOA. “It is absolutely not true that NeNe has been fired from RHOA. Furthermore, it was made abundantly clear prior that she will always be welcome on the series as long as she wants to be,” he told HollywoodLife in a statement. “We are having on-going bigger picture conversations with NBC Universal and have not made any decisions regarding next season specifically. Any speculation or sources trying to create controversy by stating otherwise are incredibly inaccurate.” Steven added “Bloop” at the end of the statement, referencing NeNe’s infamous catchphrase.

Bravo has also responded, noting there is “absolutely no truth” to the report that NeNe was fired.

Leakes called out Bravo during recent Instagram Live chat for delaying her RHOA season 13 contract as her co-stars started filming the new season.

“I’m still in a holding pattern. Let me start there. I also want to say that it’s not me, it’s them. Every single season when it ends for at least the last three to four seasons I have been dealing with this going back and forth. It’s not me. It’s them,” Leakes said.

“I know a lot of people think it’s me. ‘Nene holds out to the last minute. Nene’s holding out.’ That is not Nene. Nene is not doing that. A negotiation does take time. I can’t move their pens any faster than they move themselves. I can’t make their emails work. There’s been a lot of talk on both sides. The last three years there’s been a lot of talk that there have been so much issues with Nene and I don’t know why there’s a lot of different things coming from the other side.”

“One of the issues that we have addressed is that the other side said to my side that she calls herself a ‘queen’ and the ‘HBIC’ and quite frankly we are tired of hearing that. Well, I am a queen. I am Greg’s queen. I am Brent’s queen. I am Bryson’s queen. And I’m a Black queen. So you won’t be not hearing that anytime soon. I will continue to say I’m a queen because I am,” Leakes said.

“I wonder did Porsha get that same call because I know for two reunions she wore a crown. I wonder did she get that same call. Also, another thing that I know was addressed was that I was told that I hit one of the producers and they could have prosecuted me for that if they wanted to. Well, they showed the tape, so everyone that was watching. I never hit a producer. It was a camera guy. I grabbed his t-shirt and his t-shirt tore.”

“So I think everybody knows that. He’s a huge guy and you can go to interview him if you want to. I grabbed his t-shirt and I pulled his t-shirt, which made it tear. Now, I wonder would they prosecute Teresa from New Jersey when she pulled Andy [Andy Cohen] down at the reunion. I wonder if they had that same conversation with her. I was curious about that,” Leakes continued.

“Well, another thing I know that was addressed was that I closed my computer early at the reunion. Well, I addressed that already and I addressed that again because it was brought up so I figured we might as well address that again. I closed my computer, rightfully so,” Leakes said.

She concluded the live session about how she was previously told that a “certain person” could no longer film with her, but she was saddened because she thought said person was “cool.” “I didn’t have a problem with them filming,” Leakes said before bringing up that that same person ended up showing up at the reunion.

As previously reported, Leakes return is still up in the air. Many sources have reported that actress Drew Sidora is joining the cast as a full-time cast member along with returning cast members Kandi Burruss, Cynthia Bailey, Kenya Moore and Porsha Williams. An insider also claimed that Tanya Sam is returning as a full-time cast member. Meanwhile, Marlo Hampton is set to return as a friend as well as Canadian YouTuber LaToya Ali is rumored to join the series as a friend.
