Casting Is Already Underway For Season 13 Of The Real Housewives Of New York City! Plus Is Rachel Uchitel Replacing Dorinda Medley?!

The Real Housewives of New York City is undergoing major casting changes following the departures from Tinsley Mortimer and Dorinda Medley.

Casting is underway for Season 13, an insider recently told Page Six, as every year the cast is re-evaluated

The news comes after Medley announced her exit from the series on Tuesday, August 25. However, a report from The Daily Mail claims that she was fired from the series just two days after her good friend Jon Giswold passed away.

However, a source shared that “she was not fired. It was a mutual decision that was discussed and then ultimately made by both Dorinda and Bravo.”

While the futures of Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, and Ramona Singer remain unknown, we’re told that the future of the show could be shaped around “RHONY” newbie Leah McSweeney and her friends as the casting tapes are rolling in.

However, a separate source told Page Six that it is “way too soon” to confirm which ladies will be getting the ax from the network or which will be hired and that the show is “an ensemble cast that revolves around everyone.”

Meanwhile, sources reveal that Rachel Uchitel could replace Medley on the show.

Page Six reported that Uchitel was “on the shortlist” to join the Bravo hit reality show last season, but producers went with Leah McSweeney instead.

Rachel has been linked to “Real Housewives” playboy Harry Dubin, who has famously dated cast members Sonja Morgan, Ramona Singer and Luann de Lesseps, and was married to former cast member Aviva Drescher.

Apparently, the outlet claims that she previously dated Paul “PK” Kemsley for a year, right before he got together with now-wife Dorit.

A Bravo rep denied that they’re considering Uchitel to replace Medley, but appeared to acknowledge that she’s previously been in talks to join the series.

When Uchitel was asked if she was joining the show, “News to me!” she told Page Six and added a winking emoji.
