Candiace Dillard Publicly Apologizes For Saying “The Kardashians Don’t Give A F—k About Kanye West”; Says “My Frustration Was Born Out Of What Looked Like Abandonment”

Candiace Dillard publically apologized for the comments she recently made about Kim Kardashian and Kanye West. The Real Housewives of Potomac took to Instagram to reveal that her original statement came from “frustration” that appeared to look like “abandonment.”

"My anger and my frustration was geared solely at what looked like abandonment. Kim has come out and made a statement that she's working privately to get Kanye the help he needs and I need to apologize,” said Candiace.

In the Instagram post, where she shared a series of videos, Dillard captioned the post, “An amendment to my original statement. There are many theories surrounding the chain of events around Ye. I only care that he is being looked after. My frustration was born out of what looked like abandonment. But...If the people say they’re taking care of him, then they MUST care.”

She continued, “And I must correct myself. I hope the action can be swift and successful. Bipolar disorder takes a toll on the entire family. It’s not like cancer. You can’t see the tumor on a scan.”

She concluded, “Sometimes you don’t know which version of your loved one you’re getting. I get it. I hope his healing can be productive and private.”

Earlier this week, the Bravo reality star shared that she believed Kanye was experiencing a sort of mental illness following his controversial first campaign event and called out the Kardashian family for allegedly doing nothing to intervene and help him.

“I’ve been boiling about this. It is an emergency. Mental health is no laughing matter. And at a time when we are calling ourselves re-evaluating the value of Black lives, one, in particular, seems to hang in the balance while those who have the power to intercede sit by and collect chèques and do nothing,” Dillard wrote in the caption accompanying her video post about West, according to The Blast.

Dillard felt like the Kardashians were not looking out for West's best interest.

“The Kardashians don’t give a f*** about Kanye West. They could give zero f**** about Kanye West, the man, the person, the black man, the black person, and if that was never clear to any of you before, let this circus that is currently running a muck be the exact example you need to see that,” Dillard said in the video.

“Kanye West needs to be committed, temporarily,” she said in a series of videos she shared on Instagram. “He is not well and the fact that his family, the people that he counts on and depends on to take care of him are allowing him to be out in the world to make a complete ass of himself–he’s making a complete fool of himself–and I can’t even begin to tell you how angry it makes me to see these white women allow this sick black man to be out here looking crazy,” she said.

Kim addressed her husband's behavior on social media. “As many of you know, Kanye has bi-polar disorder,” she explained via her Instagram Story on Wednesday, according to Us Weekly. “Anyone who has this or has a loved one in their life who does, knows how incredibly complicated and painful it is to understand. I’ve never spoken publicly about how this has affected us at home because I am very protective of our children and Kanye’s right to privacy when it comes to his health. But today, I feel like I should comment on it because of the stigma and misconceptions about mental health.”

Kim went on to note that loved ones of those suffering from mental health issues are “powerless” because the person affected must “engage in the process of getting help no matter how hard family and friends try.”
