Phaedra Parks Makes Surprising Return To Reality TV In New Season Of ‘Marriage Boot Camp: Hip-Hop Edition’ — Watch Teaser Trailer Here!

Phaedra Parks is returning to reality television. According to a report by PEOPLE, the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star is to appear on the upcoming new season of WEtv's Marriage Boot Camp: Hip-Hop Edition.

The new season will premiere in July. Parks will be on the show with her boyfriend, rapper, and actor Medina Islam, whom she has been dating since March 2019.

They'll be joined by Willie Taylor and Shanda Denyce (of Love and Hip Hop Hollywood fame); Love and Hip Hop New York star Tahiry Jose and "Look Me In My Eyes" rapper Vado; model Toni Calvert and Grammy-nominated emcee Kurupt; as well as mom-to-be and Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood's Hazel E. and male model De’Von Waller.

The couples will go through many intense sessions with Marriage Boot Camp's Dr. Ish Major and Divorce Court's Judge Lynn Toler. Watch the first teaser trailer below!



The news comes after it was reported that Parks is allegedly in talks to return to RHOA for the show's upcoming thirteenth season. While many outlets claim that she may return as a full-time cast member, sources told Love B. Scott that Parks in being considered returning as a "friend" to the series.

Parks isn't the first Real Housewife star to seek relationship help on WEtv hit reality series. Past contestants include Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley (The Real Housewives of Orange County), Amber and Jim Marchese (The Real Housewives of New Jersey), Aviva and Reid Drescher (The Real Housewives of New York City), Kim Richards and her then-boyfriend Wynn Katz (The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills), who all appeared on the regular couples edition of the series.

Brandi Glanville appeared in the Family Edition of MBC along with her father Guy Glanville. Last year, former RHOC Alexis Bellino along with her mother also appeared on the Family Edition of the series.

Marriage Boot Camp: Hip-Hop Edition premieres Thursday, July 2 at 9 p.m. ET on WEtv.
