Meghan King And Jim Edmonds Face Off Over Prenup Agreement And Want Their Divorce Battle Made Private!

Meghan King and her estranged husband Jim Edmonds are once feuding while they work to finalize their divorce. A source claims that the former Real Housewives of Orange County star is contesting their prenuptial agreement but her estranged husband is insisting it is more than fair, according to PEOPLE.

"Jim’s prenuptial agreement is valid, enforceable and generous, and we fully expect it to be upheld. Meghan and her attorney reviewed the agreement several weeks before the wedding and agreed to the terms," a rep for Edmonds told the publication in a statement.

"Meghan herself has publicly explained the agreement was done at her urging because she didn’t want Jim’s family to think she was trying to take his money," the former baseball player's rep continued. "Jim is voluntarily paying Meghan more than three times the amount of child support required by court guidelines."

"He is letting her live in one of his homes in St. Louis and is paying the mortgage and all the bills for that house," the statement said. "He gives her money for a nanny and housekeeper. He pays for almost every single expense related to the children. And he pays half the rent on her Los Angeles beach house."

"Jim has been beyond generous to Meghan and provides full financial support for his children," Edmonds' rep added.

Meanwhile, the former couple has agreed on one thing in their divorce battle — they want it stay private.

Meghan told Page Six, “Jim’s rep was previously quoted in January as saying Jim has ‘no interest in playing this out in the media.’ I think that’s very important to circle back to, because that’s where I stand, too. We’ve navigated this in and out of the media over the past few months but at this point, I’m in a really good spot and I just want to move on. The public should turn their attention to more important world events, not our private ones.”

Jim’s rep is in agreement with Meghan. “Meghan has spent the better part of the past six months airing everyone’s dirty laundry in public,” Jim's rep, Steve Honig, told Page Six. “She has publicly discussed hers and Jim’s sex life, complained about not getting enough child support, accused Jim of indiscretions, publicly humiliated Jim’s girlfriend, discussed Jim’s vasectomy, talked about what she is going to do with their frozen embryos and pretty much discussed every single aspect of her marriage and divorce on her podcast, social media and in the press. She continually speaks to reporters as an anonymous ‘insider’ and has done whatever she can to get attention for herself and cause harm to Jim with no regard or respect for anything or anyone. I am absolutely thrilled Meghan finally realizes that I was right all along and there is no benefit to playing this out in public. All of us eagerly await and look forward to Meghan’s newfound commitment to silence.”

In October 2019, the former professional baseball player and the former Bravo reality star called it quits after five years of marriage. The former RHOC star accused her then-husband of being unfaithful with their nanny, which both Jim and the caretaker denied.

Earlier this month, Jim confirmed he was in a relationship with Kortnie O’Connor. The pair have been quarantined together while the former St. Louis Cardinals player continued to recover from his battle with COVID-19. Before Jim went public with his new relationship, his estranged wife claimed that O’Connor had a threesome with them during their marriage.

Last week, it was confirmed that Meghan is in a new relationship as she's dating Christian Schauf, who is a podcaster and CEO of an emergency survival kit company in Park City, Utah.
