Dina Manzo Claims Dolores Catania Was Supposed To Be On Season One Of RHONJ But Was Replaced By Caroline Manzo After She Backed Out!

Dina Manzo alleged that her sister Caroline Manzo was not originally a part of the Real Housewives of New Jersey cast. Dina noted via her Instagram Stories that her sister was allegedly Dolores Catania’s replacement in the Bravo hit reality show’s first season.

She shared the news while reminiscing over throwback shots from the early days of reality series.

“[Dolores] was supposed to be in season one but backed out,” the Glow by Dina founder wrote on Tuesday, May 12, while sharing a blurry photo with Dolores. “So Caroline took her place.”

However, a source told Us Weekly that Caroline “didn’t take Dolores’ place.” It was “Danielle Staub [who] took Dolores’ place.”

Dina also shared a throwback photo of herself with Teresa Giudice prior to Season 1. “Throw back of me @teresagiudice right before season 1.”

Dina appeared as a full-time cast member on the first two seasons of RHONJ. She walked away from the series during the show's second season. In the fourth season, she made a guest cameo appearance and returned to the show as a full-time cast member for season six, Dina left the show and relocated to Southern California, where she now resides with her husband Dave Cantin.

Caroline Manzo appeared on RHONJ for five seasons. In 2014, she and her family landed their own  Bravo spin-off series, Manzo'd with Children for three seasons. In 2016, the show was not renewed and canceled.

As for Dolores Catania, she joined RHONJ during the show's seventh season and has remained a full-time cast member ever since she joined the series.
