Shereé Whitfield Reveals Her Mom Has Been Found Two Weeks After Going Missing; Says “My Mom Has Been Found Safe & Healthy”

Shereé Whitfield reveals that her missing mother has been found and is safe. The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star shared the happy news on her Instagram Friday, telling fans that her mom Thelma Ferguson has been found “safe & healthy” two days after asking for prayers from her followers in hopes of locating her 72-year-old mother.

“Thank you for all the prayers, they WORKED!” a post shared on Whitfield’s Instagram read, according to PEOPLE. “My Mom has been found safe & healthy. She is with family now. I couldn’t have gotten through this without your support! GOD IS GOOD!”

She captioned the post, “The power of prayer is UNdeniable! 🙌🏾.”

Whitfield had been searching for Ferguson ever since she went missing on March 23 after leaving her Sandy Springs home to go to the bank. The former Bravo reality star released a statement via her Instagram page on Wednesday, where she asked her fans to keep her mother and family in their prayers.

“I was hesitant to post my concerns for my mother's safe return because, although I have been in close contact with the police for the past two weeks, I'm also pretty private when it comes to my family,” she wrote. “Also, in the past, my mom has taken personal vacations without letting the family know and we respect that side of her. However, this is the longest she have gone without reaching out to anyone from the family or her friends. Right now we are leaning on God and staying positive and prayerful for her safe return home.”
