Vicki Gunvalson doesn't believe Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice is innocent in her and estranged husband Joe Giudice's wire and bank fraud case, which resulted in them both spending time behind bars.
Gunvalson discussed the topic with Andy Cohen during a recent episode of her podcast, Whoop It Up with Vicki. “It’s hard for me because I am a steward of money and I don’t lie, cheat, or steal,” Vicki said after Andy asked for her opinion on Teresa and Joe’s case, according to Reality Blurb.
“There’s a lot I don’t know about it [but] I think [Teresa] knew more than what she’s leading onto. She had to. She’s not an idiot, right?” she continued. “There’s a lot I don’t know but I do know, if I’m paying my taxes at 100 percent of what I owe, everybody else should be doing the same.”
Joe began his 41-month prison sentence at FCI Fort Dix in March 2016 after pleading guilty to conspiracy and bankruptcy fraud charges in 2014. Teresa served more than 11 months at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut in 2015 after pleading guilty to the same charges.
In October 2019, Joe was released from ICE custody and left the U.S. to Italy as he awaits the final decision in his deportation appeal.
