In Other Bravo TV News: Kate Chastain Announces She’s Leaving Below Deck After Six Seasons!

Kate Chastain confirmed she will not be returning to Below Deck after six seasons. Chastain shared the news via Instagram following the airing of Part 2 of the Season 7 reunion on Monday, February 17.

"After many months of reflection and internal discussions, I have chosen to make a transition this year in starting to carve out a progressive new land based role," she wrote. "I intend to step back as a senior member of the Below Deck Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support His Majesty Andy Cohen.”

Kate first joined Below Deck in Season 2. She has served as chief stew in every season since joining the series. She's become one of the longest-running crew members on Below Deck - second to Captain Lee Rosbach, who has been with the series since the very beginning, according to a report from Bravo's The Daily Dish.

Kate hinted that she was ready for "new adventures" during the Season 7 finale episodes. "Personally, this has been a very challenging season for me. I'm going to go spend a week alone in a resort and relax. Then, head back to Florida, pack up my life, and move to New York," she shared in an interview at the end of the episode. "I'm scared to move to New York, but I was also scared to start yachting, and I think I'm ready for a new adventure."

Kate gave an update on her life in New York at the end of the Below Deck Season 7 reunion. "It's great," she said. "I like it so much. It's exciting."
