Tamra Judge Opens Up About Leaving The Real Housewives Of Orange County After Being Offered ‘Humiliating’ Pay Cut And Demotion!

Tamra Judge opens up about walking away from The Real Housewives of Orange County after twelve seasons. “I enjoyed my 12 years on Bravo but I knew it was coming to an end,” she told the Champion Daily. “I’m not mad about Bravo’s decision but I am sad to lose a family that I love so dearly.”

“I need to process it the only way I know how…. Out of sight, out of mind!”

While she's not returning to RHOC, Tamra is focusing on her family and businesses. “I’m going to absolutely be okay. I have a wonderful family and created two lucrative businesses, Vena CBD www.venacbd.com and CUT Fitness www.cutfitoc.com.”

As for her relationship with Andy Cohen, Judge said, “I love Andy! I will always have a close friendship with him.”

She concluded, “I keep reminding myself- ‘don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened,’ which is a quote from Dr. Seuss. Thanks to all my fans for all the love and support you’ve given to me these 12 years, and I look forward to you continuing to follow my journey.”

Tamra announced her departure from the series on Saturday, Jan. 25 after appearing on the show for 12 seasons.

Judge’s decision to leave the show was because Bravo tried to demote her. “They offered her a part-time role and she declined,” a source told Us Weekly. “She was on the fence anyhow.”

Tamra admitted that she chose to leave the show after being demoted. “It’s been a wild ride, and after all these years, I’m looking forward to life away from the cameras,” she told PEOPLE. “I was offered a chance to come back to the show in a limited role, but would prefer to walk away on my own terms.”

However, an insider claims that Judge also left after her salary was cut drastically. “Bravo bosses wanted Tamra to be bridge from the old cast to the new in season 15 and she refused,” a source told Radar Online.

“Tamra got her pick up contract letter last, after the other ladies, and it had major conditions in it. She was even more than demoted to a friend role. She’d have very little camera time. And it meant she would earn next to nothing in reality TV terms.”

“She would go from $900,000 a season to $20,000 an episode for just three show appearances, which would add up to $60,000 total. It was humiliating,” the source said. “So Tamra walked away.”
