“Like you were saying, ‘What is cheating?’” Meghan asks in a sneak peek from her “Intimate Knowledge” podcast with Brooke Burke, according to Us Weekly.
“Well, my ex, he had a sexting situation while we were married and I consider that cheating. Some might not. It didn’t feel good, so I know that much, and I know that it definitely put a strain on our marriage.”
Meghan goes on to share her reaction to the incident. “Why did it happen, you know? Did I have a role in it? I’m sure, some part, right?” she admits. “There’s always two sides, but really I just wanna be like, ‘Screw you,’ and place all the blame, right? And cry and kick and scream.”
Last year, AllAboutTheTea.com reported that Jim cheated on his second wife, Allison Jayne Raski, with a woman who is allegedly referred to as the “baseball madame.” (The exes, who split in 2014, share two children.)
A source alleged that the two reconnected in March 2018 when Meghan was pregnant with the couple’s now 12-month-old twin sons, Hart and Hayes.
AllAboutTheTEA.com published explicit screenshots of text messages allegedly sent from Jim, including photos of his penis. The website further alleged that he sent a video of himself masturbating on the same day Meghan gave birth to their twins.
Meghan allegedly confronted the woman after finding out about her exchanges with Jim. The sports broadcaster procured a non-disclosure agreement with her, according to the website, reported Us Weekly.
As for Jim, he released a statement. “Regrettably, I had a lapse in judgment. I engaged in an inappropriate conversation with this person,” Jim told Us Weekly. “At no time was there any type of relationship or physical contact. Absolutely none. This is someone trying to profit from my name. I am aware she has done this to others in the past.”
The retired baseball player went on to apologize. “Clearly, I made a very poor decision to expose myself and my family to this type of person. For this, I am truly sorry and sought forgiveness from my wife,” the statement continued. “I’m outraged over the intent to ruin my family and intend to take legal action. We were never having any problems in our marriage. My attorney is in possession of documents wherein this person has admitted fabricating large portions of her ‘story.’”
Jim reiterated that he “never had any sort of a physical relationship outside of my marriage with her or anyone else.”
On October 25, Meghan and Jim split after five years of marriage. An insider told Us Weekly at the time that the former Bravo reality star had accused Jim of cheating with their nanny Carly Wilson. However, Jim and Carly both denied cheating allegations, and on October 30, Jim said that he was “saddened tremendously” that Meghan was hurting.
