Shiva Safai Confirms Split From Mohamed Hadid And Reveals New Boyfriend Niels Houweling On Instagram!

Shiva Safai has confirmed that she is no longer engaged to Mohamed Hadid. Following a years-long engagement with the ex-husband of former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Hadid, the Second Wives Club alum confirmed her split Mohamed last week, going Instagram official with her new boyfriend, Niels Houweling.

Safai shared a cute photo of her giving Housweling a kiss on the cheek. She captioned the moment with a simple red heart.

Shiva's boyfriend Neils appears to enjoy horses, cute dogs, exotic outdoor locations, and helicopters, based on his Instagram feed, according to Bravo's The Daily Dish. He even has an entire set of saved Instagram Stories dedicated to Shiva. Neils even spent the holiday weekend with Shiva and her family.

Last week, Safai posted on Instagram Stories that she was looking forward to 2020 and to "new beginnings, new chapters, new chances [and] brand new opportunities."

Safai and Hadid ended their relationship in February 2019 after a blowout fight over money and Mohamed asked for his ring back.

“After Mohamed started having money problems he changed…he became a different man,” a source told AllAboutTheTEA. “They [Shiva Safai and Mohamed Hadid]started fighting more and he cut off her line of credit with Neiman Marcus and stopped paying all her credit card bills. He told her to get a job and she was offended.”

The source continued, “Since they met in 2012, Mohamed has supported Shiva financially. She moved in with Mohamed weeks after meeting him.”

“Mohamed started having serious money issues and that’s when their relationship started to suffer.” s source shared with AllAboutTheTEA. “He stopped taking her on luxury vacations, the gifts stopped then he stopped paying her bills.”

“During their last heated fight, he asked for his ring back and that was the final straw for Shiva.” the insider revealed.

The source added: “They stopped sleeping together by late January and by March she moved out and is staying with a girlfriend in the hills [Hollywood Hills].”

The news comes after it was reported that Mohamed filed for bankruptcy on behalf of his company after being ordered to tear down his controversial $100 million mega-mansion — for being a “danger to the community.”

Hadid’s company, 901 Strada LLC, filed for reorganization in federal bankruptcy court on Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving. The Hadid patriarch declared the company is $10-50 million in debt due to the construction of his 30,000 square-foot Bel-Air mansion, which he reportedly began in 2011, according to court documents obtained by The Daily Mail and TMZ.

In the bankruptcy filing, Hadid reportedly said the company is over $386,000 in debt to a design and management company. In addition, he claimed his company is over $200,000 in debt to a building materials company and owes over $93,000 to a demolition company as well as over $35,000 to plumbers, reports PEOPLE.

The father of supermodels Gigi and Bella Hadid also reportedly said his mansion requires immediate attention with the need to be physically secured or protected from the weather, according to TMZ, which also reported that local taxpayers would have to pay the mansion’s expenses if Hadid fails to pay the estimated $5 million to demolish it.

Hadid’s neighbors filed a lawsuit last year and called the construction of his Bel-Air mansion “the most illegal structure ever constructed” in Los Angeles and a “seven-year saga,” according to the New York Daily News, which also obtained the latest court documents. The lawsuit is set to go to trial in March 2020.
