Bailey reveals that she tried to bring Kenya and NeNe back together so they could be in a better place, but failed.
“Well, actually to be honest I actually tried to be the peacemaker. I actually tried to bring them together on more than one occasion, and it didn’t work out. There was a point where I just had to tap out, and just let it be,” she continued.
“But I tried, I’ve always wanted Kenya and NeNe to have a good relationship,” Cynthia explains. “I’ve always wanted that for them. Despite what you may have heard. When you’re friends with two people it’s actually more advantageous for both people to get along than not get along. Because you don’t want to be caught in the middle,” she told HollywoodLife.
She added: “You want everybody to want to come to depending…you want to gain support from both of them. So if there is conflict, then it just makes it harder for you. So in a perfect world my friends all like to get along with each other. I just wanted it to work. Obviously it didn’t work.”
The news comes after Leakes and Moore allegedly nearly came to blows after the former Miss USA discovered that her ex-husband befriended Leakes while they were in Athens, Greece.
“Kenya confronted NeNe after hearing that she’d been talking to Marc behind her back. Things escalated quickly, with NeNe telling Kenya that Marc said he ‘doesn’t even like’ her. NeNe continued to throw out different things she and Gregg were allegedly told by Marc as their fight got more intense,” according to Love B Scott.
According to sources, “NeNe began to make a ‘hocking’ sound as if she was preparing to spit in Kenya’s direction.”
The outlet reports that they're not sure if spit "actually flew" but a source told Love B Scott that at least one cast member heard NeNe say she was close to spitting on Kenya during their Athens argument at the finale taping.
Apparently, the finale itself was taped in Atlanta, but during the finale the ladies had an argument about this argument — which happened in Athens.
Meanwhile, HollywoodLife shared more details about what allegedly went down between Leakes and Moore. “Kenya was stunned on the cast trip in Greece when she found out that her now ex husband Marc was conspiring against her by speaking to NeNe and Gregg Leakes behind her back during their marriage,” a source told the outlet. “Kenya and NeNe are nowhere near in a good place, but she couldn’t believe that any of the parties involved would do this to her. She found out and approached NeNe and that’s when the fight ensued and escalated quickly.”
“NeNe made Kenya feel blindsided with the news that she had been talking to Marc throughout their marriage,” the insider says, revealing that “NeNe also told Kenya that Marc told her and Greg that he didn’t even like his wife among other things.”
The source went on to explain that Kenya was very upset over the situation, and was in disbelief of everyone’s actions, despite her rocky relationships with both NeNe and Marc.
“Even though she’s had her issues with NeNe, she never thought she’d do something like this. — Same with Marc,” the source told HollywoodLife. “They were having issues in their marriage, but she felt so shocked to learn this. Kenya was so hurt that he would conspire behind her back with her known arch enemy and deliberately give her private info about them as a couple and about Kenya. Kenya has definitely had it with Marc and with NeNe.”
