Cynthia Bailey weighs in on Kenya Moore's relationship with Marc Daly, who announced their split last month. “This is her first marriage. I think she went into it for all the right reasons. She is still very much in love with her husband, and who knows? Maybe they can still work it out in the end,” the Real Housewives of Atlanta star told Us Weekly.
“I think they both deserve to be happy whether they’re together or not, and I’m not the kind of mom or parent that thinks that you have to be with the father of your child to be able to be good parents to your children. I personally don’t think that because you have a kid with somebody is the only reason to stay with that person.”
The supermodel also admitted that she was “shocked” by Moore and Daly’s split. “I knew there were some issues. I’m not going to lie about that,” she said. “She shared a lot with me, but I didn’t think it was anything that couldn’t be fixed. I just was really rooting for them, especially since they have this new beautiful daughter together. However, I’m seeing Kenya, and nobody’s in your bedroom with your man but you. … I want her to be happy because I know what it feels like to be in something and not have peace.”
Bailey then gushes about Moore's return to the Bravo hit reality series. “I love that Kenya’s back. I always thought Kenya was great for the show. She just gets in there, she stirs the pot. She’s my friend. She’s in an amazing place. Brooklyn is amazing. I can’t wait for the fans to fall in love with her. Kenya Moore has the happiest baby I think I’ve ever seen in my life,” Bailey said. “I love that the fans are going to see Kenya be a mom because it just changes everything. It just changes everything about her dynamic. … She’s very hands-on, to say the least.”
Cynthia then opens up about her upcoming nuptials and confirms that her wedding to fiancé Mike Hill will be televised for the Bravo hit reality show.
“My fans have been on my journey for 10 years. They’ve seen me get married on the show. They’ve seen all my ups and downs in my last marriage [to Peter Thomas], and they have seen me get divorced on the show. They’ve seen me date on the show,” she told Us Weekly. “It would be totally unfair for them not to see my happily ever after. I want to share it with them because I’m in a great place and I’m happy, and they’ve seen me not always so happy.”
“The only thing that we have for sure is the date, which you might have heard. We did decide the date, and we know where it’s going to be,” she revealed. “I don’t have a venue, but at least I know what state it’s going to be in, so we’re excited about that. We’re still in the beginning stages of planning everything, but you can rest assure it will be a wedding to remember, no matter how big or small it is.”
Bailey also hinted that the nuptials will be nothing like her ceremony with her ex-husband. “This is just a different time for me,” she explained.
