The former Page 3 model said her partner, who is from the band, The Cult, gave her permission to talk about it so they can raise awareness of the disease and encourage viewers to get checked.
She added that Billy is usually private yet he gave her his blessing to join the ITVBe hit reality series, as he supports her, although he did have to check with his bandmate Ian Astbury who also gave his permission.
"I've even managed to drag him on the show a few times as well, he has come across as really well. He is a nice supportive partner," she told The Daily Mail.
Dowding joined the RHOCheshire for the show's current tenth season. She joins returning cast members Dawn Ward, Ester Dee, Hanna Miraftab, Perla Navia, Rachel Lugo, Seema Malhotra and Tanya Bardsley.
