Bethenny Frankel’s RHONY Exit ‘Wasn't Surprising To Her Friends’

Bethenny Frankel quitting The Real Housewives of New York City wasn’t too surprising to her close friends. According to gossip writer  A.J. Benza, who reported in his Fame column via Radar Online.

Apparently, Frankel's friends “knew she was keeping a promise” to her late ex-boyfriend, Dennis Shields, “who always wanted her to reach her full potential in life.”

“Dennis always knew Bethenny had a lot more to offer,” a source told Fame. “He wasn’t putting down the show, but he made Bethenny promise him she would one day explore bigger opportunities.”

If you recall, Frankel will focus on developing new television show where she will executive produce along with Mark Burnett.

A source said the show is entrepreneurial-based, where Frankel will offer her expertise to women looking to create, develop and run successful business ventures.

On Wednesday, August 21, Frankel released a statement addressing her exit from the Bravo hit reality series.

“I have decided to leave the ‘Housewives’ franchise to explore my next chapter,” Frankel said in a statement via Variety. “It’s time to move on and focus on my daughter, my philanthropy and my production partnership with Mark Burnett, producing and starring in shows which represent a shift in the conversation for women. With the changes in modern culture, I want to highlight the strength, confidence and unstoppable power that women have. My experience at Bravo has been an incredibly magical ride. I am so grateful to them for highlighting my entrepreneurialism and allowing me to pave the way for many women to achieve their goals. I am excited for my future. The best is yet to come.”
