NeNe Leakes Shuts Down Rumors That She “Exploded” Over Cynthia Bailey’s Engagement, Cynthia Reveals If She Would Ever Rekindle Her Friendship With NeNe!

NeNe Leakes is shutting down rumors that she was not excited about Cynthia Bailey's engagement to Mike Hill. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star took to Instagram revealing that she's happy for the newly engaged couple.

"I sent @cynthiabailey10 the [night] of her engagement a beautiful gift and card," Nene wrote on in a now-deleted Instagram post. "I couldn’t be happier for her finding love again."

Cynthia confirmed that there's no beef brewing between herself and Leakes over her engagement.

"Thank you for your beautiful gift. Especially the card. Both were a lovely surprise," Cynthia wrote in the comments to NeNe's Instagram post. "It meant a lot," according to Bravo's The Daily Dish.

If you recall, last time we saw Bailey and Leakes they were on the outs after over Kenya Moore's invitation to Cynthia's event in the Season 11 finale and subsequent tension at the reunion.

So is there hope for a reconciliation between Cynthia and NeNe? “I think the time and the space apart has been good for us both to kind of sit with ourselves and just — I think the time apart has been healthy for both of us,” Cynthia told HollywoodLife.

“However, I’m always going to love NeNe. I wish her well. I’m so proud of her with her huge store opening of Swag in DC. I’m so happy Gregg [Leakes] is cancer free. I still pray for them. In terms of our friendship, I don’t ever see us being the way it was, but I definitely — I love her. I definitely would love to be cordial, we roll in the same circle, and to have a good time. NeNe is a good time. There’s nothing like fun NeNe. That’s the only one that I’m fine for, the NeNe that makes me laugh. I’ll take that NeNe all day long. It’s Nay Nay that I don’t like! I love NeNe!”

So how did Cynthia react to the rumors that Leakes was allegedly furious over her engagement? “I don’t know where those rumors came from,” Cynthia admitted. “I don’t know where it came from that she exploded and was upset about it. I think that was just a rumor — Bullsh*t, basically. None of it got back to me.”
