Bethenny Frankel Addresses RHONY Exit And Clarifies Marriage Tweet!

Bethenny Frankel took to her Instagram Stories to thank fans for all of their love and support after announcing that she was leaving The Real Housewives of New York City. "Are we not talking about the elephant in the room, or in the beach, about what happened today," she asked her followers while spending a day at the beach.

"It was a big day, big doings, and I'm dying and loving all of your comments. I'm not going to pretend that's not going down. Literally if I could get my heart out of my chest and I would give it to you, because feeling it, reading it, loving it, [I] live for you.

"You are everything to me," she added.

The following day, the Skinnygirl mogul addressed the speculation that she was the only "married" housewife on the show via her Instagram Story and explained why she chose to leave the Bravo hit reality series.

"So I'm in L.A. and I wake up and my phone explodes this morning," Frankel began. "I want to explain to you that this week I made a really big decision and I have been thinking about it and going back and forth. I just decided that when you jump, you fly."

"When I came on to Housewives everyone, everyone told me not to do it and I went with my own gut. Many people, many people didn't want me to leave, and then just very few people thought it might be the wrong time," she shared. "It doesn't matter what anybody thinks when you make decisions, it matters what you think and sometimes you don't even know what you think."

She continued: "Just a moment, two days ago, I just said, 'You know what, let's do it. Let it ride,'" she said of her decision. "I was really emotional. I spent a quarter of my life on that network and on many different shows, and it's a very emotional time. I'm happy and I'm excited but it's just part of me. It's been so amazing to me and given me amazing experiences and opportunities. I'm so grateful."

Frankel then clarified the tweet where she mentioned she was the only married housewife on the show. If you recall, the tweet read as follow:

"To my NY hwives: GO GET EM! I had to go since I’m the only one that is actually married...that’s how crazy this ride is," she wrote. "You are all amazing, beautiful and strong. Spread your wings and fly! Xoxo @ramonasinger @CountessLuann@TinsleyMortimer @SonjatMorgan @dorindamedley."

The Skinnygirl mogul shared her reasoning behind the message, telling her fans, "I then yesterday wanted to really take time to think about the women and the women on my show that I'm rooting for and I was part of this fabric of this show with. I wanted to say, 'Go get 'em and you're going to be great and I'm here to help and I'm rooting for you.' I paved a way for women to reach their dreams or believe that it's possible and I wanted to just say, 'Go get 'em.'"

She continued: "Ironically, I'm the only legally married Housewife on New York."

She added: "I am not newly married. I am just the only—was the only legally married housewife on the Real Housewives of New York [City]...Believe me when there is something to tell you, I will tell you because you've been there for me and helped me through so many things."

Despite cryptic tweet, Frankel did not marry new boyfriend Paul Bernon. In fact, she's actually still married to her ex, Jason Hoppy. Bethenny filed for divorce from Hoppy at the start of 2013 and it was confirmed as settled in 2016. However, "Jason and Bethenny are still technically married," Hoppy's attorney Robert Wallack told E! News.

"The judgment was never issued because an order of protection was issued by the Criminal Court which impacted the previously agreed to joint custody arrangement and Frankel subsequently brought an application to modify the agreement (which gave rise to a multi-day hearing)," Judge Michael Katz told E! News through a court representative."
