Luann de Lesseps Shows Support For Vicki Gunvalson Following RHOC Demotion!

Luann de Lesseps, who was demoted in season 6 of The Real Housewives of New York City has some words of encouragement for the OG of the OC, Vicki Gunvalson, who was demoted as a "friend" for Season 14 of The Real Housewives of Orange County.

Luann reveals that despite the reduced role, Vicki shouldn't worry about the amount of screen time she will get when the show returns in August.

“I was in every single episode and scene,” the Countess and Friends cabaret performer explained to PEOPLE when asked about her own “demotion” in season 6. “You know, sometimes these negotiations may go that way,” Luann continued.  “But I know she’s going to be just fine.”

Earlier this month, Gunvalson, who was a full-time cast member since the show started in 2006 took to her Instagram page to address her new role as a "friend" for Season 14 of the Bravo hit reality series.

"For the past 14 years I’ve opened up my life, my loves, my ups and downs on The Real Housewives of Orange County and I am proud to be the “OG of the OC,”" she wrote. "I am back again this season right in the middle of the action in a different role. I hope you have as much fun watching the show as I did living it in front of the cameras. Stay tuned to Bravo August 6th for more of the Tres Amigas."

The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 14 premieres on Tuesday, August 6 at 9/8c on Bravo!
