Luann de Lesseps Is Not Joining The Cast Of Broadway’s Chicago!

In Part 3 of The Real Housewives of New York City Season 11 reunion, Luann de Lesseps announced that she’ll be appearing in “Chicago” on Broadway. However, her reps are not revealing that due to "scheduling" issues, the Bravo reality star will not be joining the iconic Broadway play.

“Due to scheduling conflicts, between her [Bravo show], her jewelry line and her successful cabaret tour [with ‘The Countess and Friends’] Luann will not be joining the cast of ‘Chicago’ at this time,” her rep told Page Six.

Apparently, de Lesseps had been telling her friends as recently as six weeks ago that she’d been cast as Mama Morton.

A source told the publication that production had been in talks with de Lesseps but had ultimately decided to go in a different direction. But when Page Six contacted the show about Luann's involvement a few weeks ago, they revealed that there were no plans for her to appear.

“Luann de Lesseps is not confirmed to join the cast of ‘Chicago’ at this time,” a production spokesperson told Page Six.

A source said that de Lesseps had jumped the gun by making the unplanned announcement on the reunion, perhaps because she was feeling defensive while under attack from her fellow “Real Housewives.”
