"I am not on The Real Housewives of Atlanta," said Givens. "I love them, I know a couple of them - Cynthia Bailey is a absolutely lovely woman, I love her, I adore her. She came to our screening last night but I'm not on the Real Housewives."
Bailey attended the screening of Given's new show called, Ambitions, which airs on OWN TV.
The news comes after MTO News reported earlier this week that Givens was joining the new season of the Bravo hit reality series. The site also claimed that the legendary actress had already started filming, according to multiple sources.
The outlet reported that she was initially was going to be featured on the show as a friend to Kenya Moore, who is returning to the series.
Kenya and Robin were longtime friends, but they became close last year after working together on the Bounce TV show "Saints & Sinners." Robin is reportedly mentoring Kenya, as she transitions into the world of acting.
It wasn't clear when the outlet reported the news if Givens will be a full-time cast member, a friend or simply making cameo appearance.
"It depends. If Robin can bring the drama, she can get a peach. But either way, she's going to be great on the show," a source told MTO News.
