NeNe Leakes Shut Down Claims That She's Been Suspended From RHOA And Confirms She's Returning To RHOA; Says “I Am On Season 12. Thank You Very Much”

NeNe Leakes is shutting down rumors that she was suspended from The Real Housewives of Atlanta and confirms she will return to the Bravo hit reality series for the show's upcoming twelfth season.

“I have never been suspended,” Leakes replied when asked on the Majic Radio Show if she had been asked by Bravo to sit out the first half of the new season, according to PEOPLE. “And I am on Season 12. Thank you very much.”

Host Vic Jagger asked if she is going to appear on a spinoff of the show, to which Leakes said, “No, that’s not true. If I’ve gotten a spinoff, they haven’t told me yet, and I need them to tell me.”

“I haven’t filmed a thing,” she added, speaking of a potential spinoff. “I read that, too. If I had a spinoff, I’d be happily telling you.”

Earlier this month, Leakes' rep denied reports claiming that she has been “forced to sit out” of filming so far for the upcoming new season of RHOA. “I can say with authority that there is absolutely no truth to this,” the rep told Us Weekly.

“The only reason why she’s not currently shooting is because she is still in active negotiations with her contract.”

The news comes after LoveBScott.com reported that Leakes was "forced to sit out" from filming the new season, which kicked off earlier this month after allegedly getting psychical with cameraman during her "Bye Wig"  party during the show's eleventh season.

The outlet reported the following: "NeNe’s altercation with producers was way more intense than we saw. We saw NeNe rip a cameraman’s shirt, but Porsha Williams and Kandi Burruss shared that one of the crew members ended up in the hospital with a missing tooth after NeNe put her hands on him."

The outlet continued: "In addition to NeNe’s ‘bad attitude’ in dealing with producers and execs behind the scenes, sources tell lovebscott.com that NeNe has been forced to “sit out” for at least the first part of the season — maybe longer — as the ladies begin filming."

"NeNe is being paid per episode, so every filming she misses is money out of her pocket," stated the outlet, adding, "The network is on the hunt for a new housewife with a BIG name to draw viewers."
