“I’m sure going to miss New Jersey and all of the people who have made it so special for me and my family,” she wrote. “We have SO many incredible memories here that we will cherish forever! I thank you all! I was born here, left and returned, only to leave again! NJ is not the armpit of the earth after all! It’s beautiful and so are most of the people in it! We’ll be back to visit! We are SO excited for our move out west but it’s been an emotional week saying our goodbyes to everyone.”
So where are they moving to? “💋❤️ You can follow our journey on my social media. I’m happy to share it with you all! XOXO #NewAdventures coming soon!”
Meanwhile, Jacqueline's daughter Ashlee Holmes took to Instagram to "It was this month 18 years ago that I got into an RV with my mom and her fiancé (I would soon call him Dad) to embark on a new adventure —moving from Henderson, Nevada to Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. I was only 10 years old at the time. Today, I watched my family get on an RV to move back across the country to Nevada," she wrote, confirming that her mother, step-dad and brothers are moving to Nevada.
She continued: "This time, I won’t be joining them on the adventure. Ending this chapter of my life has been incredibly difficult for me, but I could not be happier for my family and their new beginnings."
She added: "I don’t know if I’ll ever end up back West. For now, my story is meant to continue here in New Jersey... but you bet your ass I’ll be visiting! 🖤"
The Lauritas are moving amid some alleged financial troubles. She and her husband, Chris Laurita, have put their Franklin Lakes mansion on the market for $1.85 million and have since lowered the asking price by $100,000)— but according to NJ.com, the property is facing ongoing foreclosure proceedings.
Chris recently sold many of the family’s furnishings and belongings on his Facebook page, and he faced some ridicule for doing so. “Why can’t someone write something positive about a family pulling up their bootstraps and moving on to bigger and better opportunities?” Laurita said in a Facebook message. “What we’re doing is a good thing and is best for our families future. We are looking forward to it.” He also added that the family had the opportunity to relocate to a home that was a completely different style from their New Jersey estate, and that his Facebook yard sale had “nothing to do” with the foreclosure proceedings.
