Barbara Kavovit Thinks She’s ‘The Voice Of Reason’ On The Real Housewives Of New York City!

Barbara Kavovit shares her thoughts being on the current season of The Real Housewives of New York City. The construction mogul thinks she did “pretty well” on her first season of the Bravo hit reality series.

“I think for me, being new to the group and not being embraced the way I think I could have been embraced, I think I held my own pretty well,” she told Page Six. “It was great to learn how to be around these types of women and still be able to have a sense of self.”

Kavovit reveals that this season was “a learning curve” and a “great experience.”

“I think I am the voice of reason in that group,” she said. “You always need a voice of reason in a group of women that think they know it all.”

She continued: “I’m not someone who is a lady who lunches, I’m someone that gets up every morning and goes to an office [and] has responsibilities,” she said. “I want to let my cast mates know that this is what I do, I respect what you do, but respect what I do and what I wear and who I am.”

Has being on the show with Luann de Lesseps affected their friendship? “We love each other,” she said. “We’ve known each other for 14 years and we’ve been through our ups and downs, but at the end of the day she has my back and I have her back no matter what … she’s a good person.”

When asked if she’ll be returning for the show’s next season, she said: “I’ll always consider it, never say ‘No.’

“If you say ‘no’ you can’t build a skyscraper!” she told Page Six.
