Real Housewives Of Miami Stars Attend Funeral For Mama Elsa Patton — See Pics Here!

Page Six reports that a small funeral was held for Elsa Patton, also known as Mama Elsa on The Real Housewives of Miami on Friday morning. The publication reports that the “who’s who of Miami” attended to say their goodbyes at Graceland Memorial Park in Coral Gables, Miami.

“Marysol was there surrounded by fellow ‘Housewives’ Alexia Echavarria, Lisa Hochstein and Adriana De Moura who opened the ceremony choking back tears talking about the honor of being friends with Elsa,” an insider told Page Six.

Marysol also delivered a teary eulogy, noting “relief that she is now resting after a long illness,” added the source.

Other who showed up to pay their respects included Gloria Estefan’s longtime publicist David Naranjo, who apparently sang a “beautiful rendition” of “Ave Maria” as well as Estefan Enterprises’ Frank Amadeo, and news anchor Belkys Nerey.

“Many guests made comments about Elsa’s driving,” said the source, reminiscing how Mama Elsa “barreled around town in a huge Rolls Royce cursing out other drivers in French, and once ran down the awning of a cafe while parking her car, and was oblivious to it.”

“It was very sweet,” said the insider. The source added that Elsa was laid to rest “in a white casket with white roses.”

Last week it was confirmed that Elsa Patton passed away over Mother’s Day weekend after battling long illness. She was 84.

“Our beloved Elsa Patton (AKA Mama Elsa) passed away over Mother’s Day weekend after a long illness. She was surrounded by her family and close friends. Elsa was predeceased by her husband of 50 years Donald Patton who passed away last February of 2018,” the Patton family said in a statement to Page Six.

“She is survived by her two children, Marysol Patton and Thomas Anthony Jones, her daughter in law Svetlana, and her grandson Hunter. The family is so very grateful to the many fans and friends who have continued to ask for her and offer their prayers and best wishes,” the statement continued.

“They thank the community, her caretakers, and the many friends who have continued to check in on Elsa from all over the world. Their support has meant the world to the family.” the Patton family stated.

Elsa's husband Donald Patton, who she was married to for 50 years, died in February 2018, reports PEOPLE.
