Kyle Richards Explains Why She Got So Anxious And Emotional During Her Mammogram On RHOBH!

Kyle Richards is explaining why she got so anxious and emotional when she got a mammogram during Tuesday night's episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

If you recall from watching the episode, Richards become anxious and emotional after the doctor told Kyle they had to take a few extra images outside of the normal procedure.

Richards explained it's difficult for her to have mammograms done because her mother, Kathleen Richards, who lost her battle with breast cancer back in 2002.

"This test gives me so much anxiety, but the reason my mom died of breast cancer is because she didn't go get a mammogram for five years," she explained during the episode, according to Bravo's The Daily Dish. "So if my mom had gone, maybe she would still be there, and I'm haunted by that thought all the time."

Lucky, Kyle's mammogram results turned out to be fine. Richards explained via Twitter why she decided to share such an emotional and intense moment on the Bravo hit reality series.

"I lost my mom to breast cancer in 2002. The fact that she hadn’t had a mammogram in 5 years haunts me," she shared. "I really wanted to show this to bring awareness re early detection and as a reminder to get checked."

The former child actress also thanked her fans for their kind words.

"I was scared to do this with cameras but felt it was important," she tweeted.
