Andy Cohen And Real Housewives Stars React To The Death Of Mama Elsa!

Andy Cohen and Real Housewives stars took to social media to share their reactions to news of the death of the iconic and legendary, Mama Elsa Patton, mother of Real Housewives of Miami star Marysol Patton.

Elsa “passed away over Mother’s Day weekend after a long illness. She was surrounded by her family and close friends,” the Patton family said in a statement via Page Six. She was 84.

Elsa's contagious spirit was remembered by many Bravolebrities shortly after her passing, including Luann de Lesseps, Shahs of Sunset stars Mercedes Javid and Reza Farahan, many of Patton's former co-stars, as well as Andy Cohen during Sunday night's episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

"Many of us met and fell in love with Elsa Patton in 2011 when the Havana-born matriarch joined her daughter Marysol Patton on The Real Housewives of Miami. Throughout the history of The Real Housewives we have met many friends and relatives of the 'Wives, but rarely has someone's spirit, humor, and wisdom made such an indelible impression as Elsa's did," Andy recalled, before looking back on some of his favorite Elsa moments.

After announcing the passing of Elsa, her daughter Marysol shared a photo of her mom with the caption: "My mommy has passed but she is free from a horrible existence thank you for your prayers over the years."

Moments later, the RHOM stat shared a quote via her Instagram Stories that has a picture of an angel along with a quote from the bible: "He brought you out of the darkness of sin into his wonderful light." - 1 Peter 2:9

Marysol also shared via her Instagram Stories that her ex-husband Phillippe arrived to "spend time with me," adding an emoji sticker with the caption "I'm sad."

Luann de Lesseps from The Real Housewives of New York City shared her condolences to Marysol via her Instagram Stories, writing: "Sending love and condolences to @marysolpatton."

Meanwhile, many of Patton's former co-stars also reacted to the news via Instagram.

"Deepest condolences for @marysolpatton as she lost her dear mother elsa today. Prayers with you," wrote Lisa Hochstein.

"Sad day because our beloved #MamaElsa has passed away. Her witty sense of humor will forever make me think of her and smile," wrote Adriana de Moura as she paid tribute to Elsa via her Instagram page. "Goodbye dear friend, Rest in Peace." She added: "My deepest condolences to the family @marysolpatton."

Mama Elsa definitely impacted many people when she appeared on the Bravo hit reality series, not just in America but internationally as well. Real Housewives of Cheshire star Magali Gorré also paid tribute to Elsa.

"Andy she was the one that made that show so special Marisooool haha haha the way she shouted her name. RIP..."

She added: "@MarysolPatton your mother stole my heart and def many people more. Thinking of you. She was gold tv and real and touched many people."

We will miss you Mama Elsa, thank you for all the iconic and legendary moments you shared with us during the three season of RHOM. Our thoughts and prayers are with Marysol and the rest of their loved ones during this difficult time. 💔🙏🏼
