Christine McGuinness has revealed and admitted that she feels like a single parent because of husband Paddy’s grueling work schedule. "I would be lying if I said it’s great. It’s not, it’s really tough," the Real Housewives of Cheshire star told the Mirror.

"At the moment I barely see him. It is getting to the point now where I feel it is overwhelming and too much. I feel like a single parent at times. I keep thinking it will quieten down soon but actually I don’t think it will."

She continued: "I think work will be good for Paddy and he’s going to be very, very busy and so I don’t know what we’re going to do."

Paddy, who's only been at home five days in the past month due to his on-demand work schedule on Top Gear as well as appearing as a team captain on Celebrity Juice, presenting dating show Take Me Out and game show Catchpoint.

"It’s great that he’s so busy. But of course I would love to see him because he’s my husband. I miss him and I love it when he’s at home. The children miss him when he’s working so much."

"But I’ve got to support his work – I always have done. And he’s doing it all for the kids, to provide for them and give them a good life."

If you recall, Christine and Paddy's are parents to children with autism, which requires additional help. However, Christine has raised her children on her own with no nanny, only with the help of her mother on the weekends.

"Should I get some support at home? I question that at times but I’ve managed for almost six years so should I just keep going? I don’t know the answer," she told the Mirror.

The former model reveals she goes to the gym at least three times a week, which she describes as her “therapy.”

Christine admits stress makes her lose weight so she works out to “build curves a surgeon can’t”.

"A lot of people go to the gym to lose weight but I go to gain weight. I want to have some curves in the right places. I don’t want to be weak or skinny. Build your own bum – it’s cheaper than surgery!"
