Looks like the Kemsley's are facing more financial troubles. According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Dorit Kemsley's husband Paul “PK” Kemsley is being sued for failing to pay an alleged gambling debt.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills husband is battling it out with a UK company named AR Legal Collections Limited, who was assigned the debt by a sports betting company called Star Sports.
The lawsuit claims that as of October 2016, PK owed a total of $260,737. AR claims they worked out a settlement with him where he would pay $150k to settle the debt.
AR claims that PK made the first $75k payment but failed to make the last payment, leaving a $75,000 balance owed.
Meanwhile, PK argued in court documents that the collections company filed the case way past the statute of limitations. He even accused them of attempting to collect on the debt “first by making threats to him and his brother and then filing the lawsuit.”
Kemsley claimed all the alleged bets took place between 2010 and 2011 and they waited too long to sue him. PK claims they failed to provide any evidence to back up their claims and demanded the entire case be tossed, reports The Blast. A hearing has been set for April.
