Cynthia Bailey is addressing the drama that she is currently facing with her Real Housewives of Atlanta co-star and former bestie NeNe Leakes. Bailey responded to Leakes’ remarks that Bailey is “sneaky and underhanded.”
Bailey says that she will “always love and support” Leakes despite their fallout. “I’ve always been a friend to her, and if she’s really my girl like she’s claimed to be my girl then we could get past this,” Bailey told Page Six. “But I noticed she was wearing my eyewear, though, so I need to tag Cynthia Bailey eyewear. I appreciate that. It’s good when we support each other even when we’re mad at each other.”
Meanwhile, Cynthia teases what fans of the Bravo hit reality series can expect from the upcoming reunion.
“It just got a little bit tricky for me, but I just own my truth, and said what I had to say,” Bailey told Page Six. “But it’s going to be a good reunion. I’ll tell you that.”
Following last week’s filming of the Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 11 reunion, Leakes unfollowed most of her co-stars, except Shamari DeVoe and Marlo Hampton.
Days later, Leakes did an Instagram Live session, where the original Georgia peach addresses her issues with her co-stars, in particular the demise of her friendship with Bailey.
“Cynthia has done a lot of stuff, in my opinion, on the down low, very sneaky and underhanded,” Leakes said in the video. “I don’t have no hate in my heart for Cynthia. We are co-workers from this day forward. I don’t have any reason to not speak to her … but anything else further than that it’s not going to happen.”
In the video, Leakes appears to be wearing a pair of “Cynthia Crystal Brown” sunglasses from her Cynthia Bailey Eyewear line, which retail for $275 but are currently listed for a reduced price of $99 online.
