Sky Zone is an indoor trampoline park in Orange County that was owned by Bellino. They opened the first location in Anaheim and would later open three other locations, reports the outlet.
Jason Hughes claimed he owned a 20% interest in the business, which he agreed to sell to Bellino for $635,000. Bellino’s company agreed to pay Hughes $317,500 once the deal was signed and then pay him 16 installments of $19,843.75 per month.
However, the deal contained a provision that stated if the company was sold to a third party, the remaining balance would be due. Hughes claimed this was activated after Bellino sold the company this year to a third party.
He said Jim refused to pay him the outstanding balance owed on their deal. Bellino was sued for the unpaid balance of $350,000, plus interest, reports Radar Online.
