Erika Girardi’s Husband Tom Girardi Denies Using $15 Million Loan To Fund ‘Lavish Lifestyle’

Erika Girardi's husband Tom Girardi is shutting down claims that he owes $15 million dollars after he was recently sued for an alleged unpaid loan to fund his lavish lifestyle. “The truth of the matter is this. I have not taken one penny from the law firm in the past three years,” the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills husband told The Blast in a statement.

“I have devoted everything to assist in the cases that we have here. Further, the money that was borrowed, we agreed to repay in approximately two weeks before the lawsuit. It is slanderous that the money was for my ‘lifestyle’ … every penny went for costs in cases that the firm is handling.”

As previously mentioned, According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Tom Girardi and his law firm, Girardi Keese, are being sued by a company named Law Finance Group. The company is claiming that they gave the 79-year-old $15 million to fund his business and he allegedly did not pay back the loans.

Instead, Law Finance Group claims the loans were “used to maintain Mr. Girardi’s lavish lifestyle and keep his prominent law firm financially afloat.”

Girardi also allegedly refused to complete a repayment plan that the two parties agreed on in August 2018, according to the documents. The website reported that Girardi was supposed to make monthly payments by the end of October, along with a $5 million payment by January 1, 2019.

The lender alleges in the suit that Girardi said he would use his home, legal fees and the proceeds of his law firm as collateral. According to The Blast, Law Finance Group is seeking $15,151,989 — the amount the defendants allegedly owe — plus damages, Us Weekly reports.

While the documents cite Girardi as a “prominent and well-known” lawyer, the papers also allege, “It is now apparent that Mr. Girardi’s reputation is exceeded only by the lavish nature of his lifestyle.”
