Kandi Burruss revealed during the Season 11 premiere episode of the Real Housewives of Atlanta that she plans on expanding her family. Now, the singer-songwriter has revealed her plans for for surrogacy.
“Yeah, yeah, we’re moving forward,” she told Us Weekly when asked if she and husband Todd Tucker are planning on expanding their family. “We’ve decided we wanted to … get a surrogate.”
Burruss dished: “We did find someone, and right now we are in the process — you know it hasn’t been done — but we’re in the process.”
As for her initial feelings on surrogacy, Burruss revealed that she was “kind of scared to do it” and “nervous about it” in the beginning because she and Tucker don’t know anyone else who have gone through the process.
She added: “Like, I don’t have anybody who can tell me [about it]. When we were going through the IVF process, I did have a couple of friends who had done it, so, you know, I could talk to them, but this is a situation where I don’t have anybody I can talk to.”
Burruss also teased about the gender of the potential new baby. “We have girls,” she told Us Weekly. “We have two embryos that are still left from when we had Ace. So, we have two embryos left and we know they’re girls.”
