It’s A Girl! Kenya Moore Welcomes First Child With Husband Marc Daly, Daughter Brooklyn Doris Daly!

Kenya Moore gave birth a the age of 47 to daughter Brooklyn Doris Daly at 9:39 a.m. ET on Sunday, November 4 the same day as the Season 11 premiere of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. The baby girl weighs 5 lbs. and 12 oz, according to PEOPLE.

Brooklyn Doris Daly is the first child for Moore and husband Marc Daly, who gave their daughter a name that holds special meaning.

“Brooklyn because that’s where we met and fell in love, and Doris after my grandmother who passed away last year and who raised me,” Moore told PEOPLE.

Kenya is doing well and “Brooklyn is very alert and active,” but the happy news also comes after scary few days for the former Miss USA beauty queen. Moore gave birth via emergency cesarean section after revealing on Oct. 27 that she had tested positive for preeclampsia — a pregnancy complication that caused her to gain “17 lbs. in ONE week due to severe swelling and water retention, high blood pressure, and excess protein in urine.”

“This is NOT normal,” Moore wrote on Instagram., according to PEOPLE. “Baby is fine but if [test] come back higher #babydaly will have to come same day. Staying positive, she added. “To my pregnant sisters please go to your visits and tell the doctor of any drastic changes. Thank God I have great doctors.”

On Saturday, Moore let fans on Instagram know that her baby was on the way. “If you want to make God laugh have a plan…” she captioning a shot of her laying her hospital bed. “Won’t be long now. Pray for us 🙏🏾 #babydaly #weloveyou #prayers.”

As previously reported, Kenya recently confirmed her departure from RHOA. After allegedly months of back and forth negotiations, Moore confirmed she was leaving the show after five years.

“I have decided to take this season off to focus on my high risk pregnancy in a healthy and drama free environment," Kenya told Bravo's The Daily Dish in a statement. "I thank Bravo for this amazing platform that has allowed me to grow, flourish and appreciate the value of what is truly important in life."

Kenya also thanked her fans for all of the love they have shown her during her time on the Bravo hit reality series in her statement. "And to #TeamTwirl: Thank you for your loving and relentless support — you will see me soon!" Kenya gushed, adding a reminder that her first child, #BabyDaly, is on the way.
