Danielle Staub Opens Up About Her Secret Health Battle With Rheumatoid Arthritis!

Danielle Staub confirms she has been struggling for some time now with a rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star reveals why she finally feels comfortable talking about. "It's not going anywhere; it's a life sentence," she told Bravo's The Daily Dish.

"Last season, I was trying to learn how to navigate and accept it into my body because I always felt like there's nothing that's going to slow me down, nothing's gonna stop me. I've had this diagnosis for a while, but it wasn't really settling in — and then it settled in," she recalled.

RA is defined as "a chronic inflammatory disorder affecting many joints, including those in the hands and feet." The Mayo Clinic notes that RA "is a chronic inflammatory disorder that can affect more than just your joints. In some people, the condition also can damage a wide variety of body systems, including the skin, eyes, lungs, heart and blood vessels. An autoimmune disorder, rheumatoid arthritis occurs when your immune system mistakenly attacks your own body's tissues."
