Katie finds herself drifting apart from one of her oldest friends, Kristen, as she watches her continue to make the same mistakes year after year. When Kristen complains incessantly about her broken relationship but does nothing to fix it, Katie asserts herself in a major way that will either force Kristen out of her rut, or force their friendship to an end.
Despite spending most of his adult life as the world’s most laid-back actor, Tom Schwartz has finally discovered a sense of real purpose – opening a restaurant with his best friend, Tom Sandoval, and his idol, Lisa Vanderpump. As he throws himself into his work, Schwartz achieves a new level of maturity and confidence that carries over into all areas of his life – he stands up for his wife against anyone who would put his Bubba down. For years, Schwartz has ruled out the idea of having children because he wasn't confident enough in his ability to provide. Kristen Doute has grown up a lot since her "Crazy Kristen" days, however, she is still on the "Do Not Admit" list at Lisa Vanderpump's restaurants, and the person no one wants to share a room with on group trips. So when James stirs up trouble at SUR, "Crazy Kristen" is resurrected in attempt to take her ex-boyfriend down and exact revenge on behalf of all the women he's wronged. As her obsession with James grows, her friends begin to speculate that Kristen is aiming her fury at James in order to avoid dealing with the very real problems in her relationship with longtime boyfriend, Carter. Katie and Stassi become very vocal critics of Kristen's relationship, and as tension grows, Kristen fears she may have to decide between her boyfriend and her best friends.
Lala Kent feels like she's forced to live a double life – on the one hand, she's the glamorous girlfriend of a Hollywood producer, flying around the world on private jets and hanging out with A-list celebrities. On the other hand, Lala still works at SUR, and she's finding it increasingly difficult to go straight from the red carpet to the hostess stand. In her family life, the unexpected death of her father has left Lala feeling extremely lost and depressed, causing her to lash out at friends and coworkers alike. Now that Lala is working through very tough emotional terrain, she must decide whether she’s better off with or without James, the one person who was always crazy enough to understand her.
