Jerry O’Connell Confirms Denise Richards Is Joining The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills!

Denise Richards has been confirmed that she will appear on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for the show's upcoming ninth season. Jerry O'Connell confirmed the news while promoting his upcoming Bravo talk show, Real Men Watch Bravo.

"The eve before Denise is starting a new endeavor that we are very excited for her to be starting," he told E! News, while showing a photo that showed himself with his wife Rebecca Romijn, Denise and her boyfriend Aaron Phypers.



Romijn shared the same image on her Instagram, with the caption, "Such an exciting day having lunch with @deniserichards and her hot bf Aaron on the day before her new endeavor (wink wink) Congrats girl! Break legs and have fun!"

Over a week ago, sources told PEOPLE that Denise has been rumored to be in discussions with producers for years, but “the timing was never right,” says a second insider close to the show. “Denise has been wanting to join the show for a long time.”

“She’s a huge Housewives fan and watches all of the shows,” says the insider. “And she has close relationships with many of the women in real life, including Kyle Richards and Lisa Rinna. The timing was never right for her in the past, but the producers needed to shake the dynamic of the show up after a season without much conflict. She’s going to be a great fit. She’s not afraid of the drama. And she lives a glamorous, Hollywood life — which the show looks for.”

Richards is no stranger to reality television. Her show Denise Richards: It’s Complicated, ran for two seasons on E! before ending in 2009.

Richards is a mother of three daughters: Sam, 14, Lola, 13 and Eloise, 7. (Sam and Lola’s dad is Richards’ ex husband Charlie Sheen.)

Meanwhile, E! News reports that Richards is currently "being tested" for the Bravo hit reality series and "the only new person" in possible talks to join the cast. "They're hoping for a casting similar to Lisa Rinna's," the source explains. "Someone who's already famous with an interesting [and] unusual family life."

A second source confirmed that Richards is being heavily considered to be on the next season and has already been filmed with her children. The source said producers think she will have a great storyline and draw audience interest and that the cast already knows they will confirm her soon and that they are finalizing her contract.
