Carole Radziwill is taking to her Bravo Blog to dish on last week's episode of The Real Housewives of New York City. Carole Radziwill talks about her sit-down with Bethenny Frankel and shows her support for Luann de Lesseps following Palm Beach arrest.
Carole writes:
"If Sonja and Tinsley could have a sleepover, the very least Bethenny and I could do was hug it out. While there may not be couples therapy in our future, I am happy we said our peace, and made peace. Praise be.
Bethenny came in hot, straight from telling her driver Kevin a bunch of nonsense. Imagine a friend texting "I miss you" and sending cute pictures of the both of you only to get a "that’s a lot" reply. To believe her story you’d have to believe I was the sh--tiest person on Earth. I may not be huggy, but I'm not sh--ty either. There is Bethenny’s version of events, and then there is reality.
It’s my feeling that Bethenny and I had a genuine friendship. This wasn’t a reality TV alliance, so to hear her talk about me each week was bizarre. When you really care about someone, you care about what they say. I didn’t appreciate the back-talking and re-casting of events, and I’m pretty sure I made myself clear. She got it. Bethenny is a fast talker, but she’s no dummy. That is exactly why I didn’t want to get into a text message war. Even the most articulate person is not immune to a tone-deaf text or an ill-placed emoji. Some things are important enough that they deserve a face-to-face over a cucumber thingy. (It was tzatziki, and I can never pronounce it correctly). I was so happy to hug and move on. Yay!!!!
How much did you loooove Coss and Sultan at ConBody? They have transformed me from scrawny string bean into sinewy lioness. I wish I had listened to my late husband who was always encouraging me to go to the gym. (All those expired memberships!) I’m late to the exercise game. It’s not all about a stronger more fit body—it's about a stronger more fit mind too. Had I understood that in my 20s, I could have been running the world instead of just a marathon. I love Sultan and Coss’ story. They both spent many years behind bars. They learned the lesson and came out better people. Theirs is a true redemption story.
Everyone roots for a redemption story. Every time I see Luann’s arraignment video my heart sinks a little. There's no right thing to say or do when someone you know ends up in jail under any circumstances. And while this group is, at times, maliciousbitchy and vengefulscorekeeping, there is an underlying respecttolerance and lovefondness that we all have for each other.
Bethenny was correct: We were all wondering if this event was going to be another one of those moving-on moments. There were so many ways Luann could have played this—and she played it well. Luann and I have had disagreements, but they all came from her ability to move on without acknowledging consequences. But her return from rehab marked a very different person—one who is taking a self-inventory. It’s an important lesson for all of us.
Everyone is rooting for Luann. It feels good to root for someone’s success. Moving on…"
