Luann shared the one major thing she learned during her night in jail following the incident: "I'm gonna tell you this right now, and everybody here, remember three phone numbers from your phone because if you ever go to jail you have to remember phone numbers and I couldn't remember a phone number and the one number I did remember I didn't want to call it ... it was [my ex-husband] Tom's."
As previously reported, Luann was arrested in Palm Beach on December 24 on charges of battery on an officer, disorderly intoxication, resisting arrest with violence, and crimes against a person. Luann previously entered a not guilty plea, and in late January was charged with resisting an officer with violence, in addition to trespassing and disorderly intoxication.
The former Countess later rejected a plea deal in connection with the case. In January, Luann also completed a 21-day stay at an alcohol treatment center. Her next court date is scheduled for later this month.
Lu also explained on WWHL that her kids were out of the country at the time of the incident. And, in an interview with PEOPLE this week, she revealed how they reacted to the news. “I told my children I did something that I am not proud of, and I asked them to forgive me,” she said. “They were like, ‘We don’t care about that. We don’t care about what people think. We know who you are, and we love you and we’re here.’ They were great.”
Lu addresses her controversial Diana Ross costume that she wore during the Season 10 premiere episode and denies attending Dorinda Medley's Halloween party in blackface and also says she didn’t mean to offend anyone.
"No, I didn't. I had bronzer on that I wear normally like the rest of my skin. I'm tan, like, right now. So I didn't add anything or try to ever, ever, ever dream of doing a blackface, ever. So I'm very sorry to everyone out there if I offended anyone," she said during her Clubhouse appearance.
Luann then confessed that she has seen her ex-husband Tom "once" after their divorce. Luann says when they ran into each other it "was cordial, it was hello and that's it," she said.
