Eva Marcille Says Being On RHOA Is An ‘Organic Fit!’

Eva Marcille FINALLY made her official debut on The Real Housewives of Atlanta during this week's episode. Now, the former America's Next Top Model winner reveals why she decided to join the Bravo hit reality series and what can fans of the show expect from her and much more.

"Coming to Atlanta Housewives and being part of that world was a pretty organic move for me because I was relocating to Atlanta as my fiancé was running for mayor," she told ESSENCE. "I'm kind of new to the city and I'm not as young a whippersnapper as I used to be, I'm a mom now. One of my good friends who lives in Atlanta and has lived here forever is NeNe Leakes. I remember letting her know that I was moving to the A and that I needed a navigator to help me figure out the city."

The reality star adds that getting to know the ladies, specifically Kandi Burruss, was pretty exciting. "I've been in the entertainment industry for quite some time. So some of the women that are actually entertainers, I had the luxury of kind of knowing them [industry-wise]," she added. "But it was really nice to get to know Kandi beyond just industry girlfriend. And to really meet her and get to know her as a woman, and as a mom and as a wife. I think she is just absolutely everything. She's one of my favorite of all the girls. More so, because she's just so down-to-earth."

Eva says appearing on the new show was an "organic fit" and calls hanging out with the ladies of the show "a good time." "For me, it was kind of an organic fit, which I think is kind of the best way to jump into a situation like this...I had quite a good time hanging out with the girls, for sure."

"For me, this is my second go-round at being pregnant and when I found out I was, my fiancé was smack in the middle of his run for mayor. So making it a big announcement wasn't a priority on our list," she continued. "However, [when] you're pregnant, there's nothing you can do about it. So you definitely see how I juggle pregnancy with these women on the show this season."

Will her pregnancy play out on RHOA? Marcille says fans will just have to wait and see.
