The Reason Why Kerry Katona Is Not Joining The Real Housewives Of Cheshire Revealed!

As we previously reported, Kerry Katona is not joining The Real Housewives of Cheshire's upcoming seventh season. Now the reason why the former Atomic Kitten singer is not joining the ITVBe hit reality series has been revealed.

“Kerry isn’t exactly the kind of person the cast would normally socialize with, and I don’t think they want to film with her,” a source told The Sun. “She just wouldn’t fit in with the cast – they’re living these lavish lifestyles, and Kerry isn’t.”

“Whenever the Housewives have parties or events on the show, it’s all paid for by them and they come with a huge price tag. And with her past financial problems, Kerry probably wouldn’t be able to keep up.”

“I can’t see any of the cast falling over themselves to be friendly with her – she’s not part of their set and she doesn’t know any of the current cast,” the source continued.

“She’s had her time on several reality shows and should step aside and let some fresh faces on TV.”

An ITVBe spokesperson confirmed that Kerry hasn’t signed on for series seven, telling the publication: “Kerry Katona will not be joining the Real Housewives Of Cheshire.”

Last week, Katona confirmed that she was moving in with Pickston which raised a lot of eyebrows, making the media and fans believe that the rumors about them appearing in the ITVBe reality series to be true. However, Ampika took to social media to set the record once and for all and confirmed that she and Katona will not appear in the upcoming seventh season of RHOCheshire.

When asked if she was returning to RHOCheshire, Ampika replied: No I am not along with a heart emoji.

When asked if the rumors were true that she and Kerry were going to appear in Season 7 of the ITVBe reality series, Ampika said: "No true we are not," she tweeted.

This rumors kicked off back when it was reported that Kerry would be moving in to Ampika's mansion as she filmed for the upcoming seventh season of RHOCheshire as producers were allegedly desperate to sign her up.

Kerry is said to be convinced joining the show will be the perfect way to bounce back following her split from third husband George Kay this year. A source told the Sunday Mirror that Katona would be a perfect fit for the show.

"Kerry’s private life is as dramatic as an episode of Real Housewives of Cheshire, so she’ll fit right in," a source told the publication. "She used to live in the area so there’s no reason why she couldn’t be part of the Cheshire set."

"The plan is a cameo with Kerry being seen there cooking on Christmas Day – but who knows where it may lead."

The publication also added that original cast member Ampika, who quit the show after five seasons will be returning to the ITVBe reality show in 2018 to rejoin the cast.

As previously reported, The Real Housewives of Cheshire has officially renewed for Season 7. It was announced during the reunion special for Season 6 that the network will bring back the sassy reality show for a seventh season in 2018.

The network confirmed the news with fans on social media. "Mourning the loss of #RHOCheshire? Never fear, we'll be back soon with Season 7!," they wrote via their official Twitter page. "Make sure you're up to date with the heart breaks and BFFs with this handy little guide..."

Newcomer Nermina Pieters-Mekic also confirmed that the show will be back for a seventh season. although the ladies were remaining tight-lipped on the details. “We’ve had an amazing team that made this all happen. There will definitely be another series,” Nermina told Manchester Evening News.

The renewal came in no surprise after the series won the award for "Best Entertainment Programme" at the Royal Television Society Awards over the weekend.

ITVBe has yet to confirm the full line-up of Housewives for the new seasons. The last series ended this week, with the finale episode ending on Monday, November 13 followed with the infamous reunion special airing the next day on Tuesday, November 14.

Season 6 cast included Dawn Ward, Ester Dee, Leanne Brown, Lauren Simon, Nermina Pieters-Mekic, Rachel Lugo, Seema Malhotra, Stacey Forsey and Tanya Bardsley.
