Janet Roach Shares Her First Impressions Of Sally Bloomfield And Venus Behbahani-Clark And Weighs In On Feud Between Gamble Breaux And Gina Liano!

Janet Roach is taking to her Arena Blog to dish on this week's episode of The Real Housewives of Melbourne. Janet Roach shares her first impressions of Sally Bloomfield and Venus Behbahani-Clark and weighs in on Gamble Breaux's feud with Gina Liano.

Janet writes:

"Hi Lovelies,

Jake and I are celebrating winning an International Gold Medal for our Tea at the annual International awards.  You know I love a party and what better excuse.

I was a bit taken aback when I met Venus at Gina’s dinner.  In comes this lady, spooky contacts, masses of extensions, huge lips.  I thought “this will be interesting”.  But she was so lovely and so sweet, I changed my mind.  I still think first impressions and intuition should be heeded but on the night I was pleasantly surprised, she is the cutest little doll.

Totally unlike my first impression of Miss Sally.  The moment I saw her I knew she was my kind of girl. Great style, sassy, real and funny.  Turned out she was a good friend of Chyka’s (who I love). What better endorsement.  And she was well known amongst my sister’s ex pat community in Bali, where my sister lived for 25 years.  I clicked with her immediately and we have become firm friends. It was a bit like when I first met Jackie. I loved her from the moment I set eyes on her.  It’s like, “when you know, you know”.

I had a really difficult season this year. My father was diagnosed with a terminal illness when we started filming and passed away just as we finished filming. My sister was diagnosed with Cancer and I had her come to live with me so she didn’t have to worry about anything like rent, food, getting to treatments etc. I took her to all her treatments, and she and I flew to Queensland as often as she was well enough to see our Dad. We were both devastated.   I did not use the illness and passing of my father as a storyline. I feel it is a deeply painful experience and not fodder for a Reality Television Show. And to discuss “who gave you a gift, who turned up at the funeral etc” is just so crass.

And then my mate Gamby giving me the Lordship. At first I thought it was such a great gift to give someone at a party, funny and better than flowers.  I loved it. All of a sudden Venus, (who was lovely and sweet the previous evening) comes out spitting chips.

As for Gamble and Gina’s relationship. I read what Gina wrote about Gamble in those and other articles. I had not seen any of that before.  All I can say is that they were so hurtful and untrue, my heart broke for Gamble.  Especially since Gamble gave Gina the honour of officiating at her wedding."
