Shereé Whitfield Explains Why She Wanted NeNe Leakes And Porsha Williams To Clear The Air!

Shereé Whitfield is taking to her Bravo Blog to dish on last week's Season 10 premiere episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Shereé Whitfield explains why she wanted NeNe Leakes and Porsha Williams to hash out their issues.

BravoTV.com: Tell us more about your former boutique? What's the latest with She by Shereé?

Shereé Whitfield: First of all, I would like to congratulate NeNe on her Swagg Boutique. All funny shade aside, I know how demanding running a successful business is, being a former business owner myself. Kudos, NeNe!

My boutique was called Bella Azul, and it was a lifestyle boutique. When we first opened our doors, I took a chance in an up and coming industrial location, making Bella Azul a destination boutique. Our inventory included clothing and home goods (i.e. candles, books, perfumes). It also functioned as a multi-functional event space. The culture really focused on catering to our customer in a holistic way.

I had always been passionate about fashion design, and before creating my own fashion line, I sought to highlight up-and-coming designers at Bella Azul. Today, some of those very designers can be found in the finest department stores and boutiques. Bella Azul's concept was definitely way ahead of its time with its distinct location and designer choices, but the customers loved the fresh hybrid of fashion and lifestyle. Our customer base was very broad; we served everyday working women, stay-at-home moms, athletes’ wives, entrepreneurs, and even some A-list celebs. Some of our celebrity clients included Gabrielle Union, Monica, Faith Evans, Paula White, Cee-Lo, and even Spanx founder Sara Blakely. The customers would travel from all over to come experience and shop at Bella Azul.

I enjoyed every aspect of owning and running the boutique. I loved going to buy and shop for our inventory and being in-store, meeting my customers and getting to know them. I bought quality and timeless pieces. To this day, I still run into some of my past clients, and they tell me how they still own and wear some of the pieces they purchased at Bella Azul. People ask me all of the time when I’m opening another boutique!

I am currently working on revamping She by Shereé. The line will be more of what I call "lifestyle" apparel, with fashionable and comfortable pieces that can take you from gym to lunch or running errands with a few pieces you can carry into a night out on the town. In today's society, women are strong and powerful but are looking for comfortable, cute, quality pieces because the women of today are also very busy! We juggle and balance so much with so little downtime.

BravoTV.com: What went through your mind when you heard Kenya eloped?

Since Matt was the last person I knew of that she had dated, it was rather perplexing to hear that she is now married. However, I got an opportunity to meet her "baby," and he seems like a nice guy. Plus, she seems really happy.

BravoTV.com: What was it like being caught in the middle of NeNe and Porsha’s issues?

When talking to both of the ladies separately, it became clear that they needed to have a conversation with each other. If there’s anything that you guys may have learned from last season, it’s that I refuse to be the middle man. If we’re all going to coexist, then the air needs to be cleared. I am at a place in my life where I’m living in my truth, for me and for my happiness. I want to surround myself with positive people and be in positive environments.
